A judgment is a judicial decision given by a court of justice or other competent tribunal. It states who wins the case and what remedies the winner is awarded. The loser would either had to pay the penalty, or serve his sentence.

If the appellate court affirms a judgment of a lower court, it agrees with the decision of that court and upholds the verdict.
